This is the 6th month of the current leap year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars. Its length is 30 days. June welcomes the official start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere, bringing longer days, blooming roses, and warm sunshine. Juno is the ancient Roman goddess of marriage and childbirth. And this month is still a popular month for weddings today! As a natural extension of marriage, Juno was also the goddess of childbirth.

Another interpretation of the origins of “June” says that the name came from the Latin juvenis, “young people,” who were celebrated at this time. In Yahweh’s original creation calendar, the Gregorian June month primarily spans the third biblical month, Sivan (and the transition into the fourth month, Tammuz). Unlike the Roman calendar, which is strictly solar and named after pagan deities, Yahweh's sacred calendar is lunisolar, determined by the phases of the moon.
